Media Database Overview

The Media Database in the Gamanza Player Engagement Platform is a centralized repository for managing and organizing all media assets used across the platform. This section allows administrators to upload, categorize, and manage images and other media files, ensuring that assets are easily accessible when needed.

Managing Folders

Creating a New Folder

To better organize your media files, you can create folders within the Media Database:

  1. Click on Add Folder: In the Folders section on the left, click the Add Folder button.

  2. Enter Folder Name: A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to enter a name for the new folder.

  3. Create the Folder: After naming the folder, click Create to add the new folder to your directory. If you decide not to create the folder, click Cancel to exit.

  • The left-hand sidebar displays the folder structure. You can click on any folder to view the media files contained within it.

  • The All Images option at the top will display all media files across all folders.

Uploading Media

To upload new media files to the database:

  1. Click on Add New Media: In the top right corner, click the Add New Media button.

  2. Select a Folder: A pop-up window will prompt you to choose a folder where the media file will be stored.

  3. Browse Files: Click on Browse Files to select files from your computer to upload.

  4. Upload the File: Once a file is selected, it will be uploaded to the chosen folder. Click Close to exit the upload window.

Viewing and Managing Media Details

  1. Click on a Media File: In the media gallery on the right, click on any image to open its details.

  2. View Details: The details window will display:

    1. Name: The file name.

    2. Size: The file size.

    3. Type: The file type (e.g., PNG, JPG).

    4. Upload Date: When the file was uploaded.

    5. Folder: The folder where the file is stored.

    6. Uploaded by: The user who uploaded the file.

    7. Link: A direct link to the media file.

    8. Edit or Delete: You can edit the file name or delete the file if it’s no longer needed by clicking the respective buttons.

The table allows the images to be searched by Name.

The files need to be uploaded directly into the folders to be stored inside of them.

All created folders may be deleted; this will not affect the files allocated within them.
