Reward Types

Gamification Rewards Engine

The Rewards Engine defines the prize types that can be used across Gamification. These rewards can be used in the following mechanics:

  • Ranks & Levels

  • Missions

  • Tournaments

  • Mini Games

  • Rewards Shop (where applicable)

This article explains what each reward type is and what you, as an operator, need to configure.

Reward Types Overview

Tokens

Tokens are the platform’s virtual currency. Players mainly use Tokens to purchase items in the Rewards Shop, and they can receive Tokens as rewards through different gamification mechanics

When to use it?

  • As a reward (e.g., from a Mission or a Tournament).

  • As a price for other reward types in the Rewards Shop (for example, “500 Tokens for 50 XP”).

XP Points

XP Points are the experience currency that lets players progress through Levels and Ranks. As players earn XP, they move up in the Ranking system and unlock additional rewards.

When to use it?

  • As a reward (e.g., from a Mission or a Tournament).

  • As a product type in the Rewards Shop (players buy XP using Tokens).

Boosters

Boosters give players a time-limited advantage, multiplying Tokens, XP, or Mission progress for a specific period.

Booster Types

Helps the player level up faster.

Booster ConfigurationParameters

For each Booster, you configure:

  • Booster rate: Multiplier that defines how much faster the player progresses while the Booster is active (e.g. 2x or 1.5x). In practice, the system multiplies the relevant value by the booster rate. Find some examples below:

    • 1x : normal speed (no boost)

    • 1.5x → 50% faster than normal

    • 2x → 100% faster (double speed)

  • Timeframe: Duration of the effect (Minutes, Hours, Days, Weeks, Months)

  • Activation

    • Automatic: The Booster becomes active as soon as it is granted.

    • By Player: The player must manually activate it in the Casino Frontend.

  • Validity Time: defines how long the player has to activate the Booster before it expires (anytime, period, specific date). The validity countdown starts when the Booster becomes available to the player.

Limiting Active boosters

Operators can restrict how many Boosters a player can have active at the same time.

Configuration for Active Boosters Limit

Max Active Boosters Limit: __ (max number) Max Boosters [In General] or [Per Booster Type]

Examples:

  • “1 max Booster in general”

If a player has 5 Token Boosters and 5 Level Boosters, only one Booster (any type) can be active at a time.

  • “2 max Boosters in general”

If a player has multiple Boosters, they can activate two at the same time, regardless of type.

  • “1 max Booster per Booster Type”

If a player has 5 Tokens Boosters and 5 Level Boosters, they can activate one Tokens Booster and one Level Booster at the same time.

Queued Booster Activation Message

If a player tries to activate a Booster while the maximum number of active Boosters is already reached, a message informs them that:

  • They cannot have more than the configured number of active Boosters (in general or per Booster Type).

  • If they continue, the new Booster will not activate immediately but will be queued.

The player can then confirm whether they want to proceed with this activation and queue the Booster.

Bonuses Offers

Bonus Offers let you use bonuses that are already created in your own Bonus Engine as rewards in Gamification.

Instead of configuring a new bonus from scratch, you simply link to an existing Bonus Offer from your Bonus Engine and use it as the prize for a gamified activity

How to configure Bonus Offers

  • Select a Bonus Offer from a dropdown connected to the operator’s Bonus Engine, or

  • Enter a Bonus ID directly, if they already know which bonus they want to use.

Gamification then takes care of granting that Bonus Offer to the player when the linked activity is completed.

External Rewards

External Rewards are prizes that are fulfilled manually by the operator and do not require any technical integration with the platform. They can be selected as prizes in your Gamification mechanics (Ranks, Missions, Tournaments, Mini Games, etc.).

They are ideal for things like:

  • Physical items (merch, gadgets, gift boxes)

  • Offline experiences (event tickets, dinners, trips)

  • Any reward handled outside the casino system

How to configure External Rewards

  1. Reward Icon: Select an image from the Media Database.

  2. Internal Description Used only internally so your team quickly understands what the reward is.

  3. External Description: Text shown to players in the Casino Frontend.

This keeps External Rewards flexible, while still structured enough for both operators and the AI to understand and surface them correctly.
