coin-blankToken Rules

Tokens are an in-game virtual currency, stored in a virtual wallet visible in the player widget.

The Token Rules section allows Operators to configure how players earn Virtual Currency (Tokens) within the Gamification mechanics, enabling players to accumulate and later spend Tokens in experiences like the Reward Shop.

Every qualifying wager or event can grant Tokens. The back office lets Operators configure:

  • How Tokens are granted per event.

  • Which games, providers, sports, or categories are more (or less) rewarded.

  • When temporary Token campaigns override the default behavior.

Token earning can be configured in two layers

Default Rules

Token Default Rules define the baseline way players earn Tokens across the platform (the “always-on” earning logic). They apply globally whenever no other override is in place.

Marketing Rules (Token Rules)

Token Marketing Rules are promotional overrides. They temporarily adjust Token earning for a specific time period, a specific audience, or specific content (games, providers, categories).

When no Token Marketing Rule applies to a player’s activity, the platform always falls back to the Tokens Default Rules

Tokens Default Rules

Tokens Default rules define the baseline way players earn Tokens across the Gamification system.

Using the Tokens Default Rules engine, Operators can decide:

  • Which events grant Tokens (e.g., Casino Bet, Sports Bet, Deposit, Login, Registration, etc.).

  • How Tokens are calculated:

    • Single Occurrence (count-based): grants Tokens each time the event occurs.

    • Based on Amount (amount-based): grants Tokens based on a numerical amount inside the event (e.g., “Tokens based on Transaction Amount”).

  • Optional Category Property logic, which allows different contribution percentages based on a selected property (for example: Game Category, Game Provider, Sport-related events).

  • Optional additional properties to narrow eligibility (for example: only specific payment methods).

Default Token Settings

Under Settings > System Settings > Gamification you will find the Virtual Currency settings. Here you will see the default setting for how Tokens will be earned. You can define the contribution type to be based on one of these:

  • Total Bet Amount (Real Money Only): if a player wagers €10 with Real Money, with a 100% contribution, the player would earn 10 Tokens.

  • Total Bet Amount (Real Money & Bonus Money): if a player wagers €10 with Real Money and €10 with Bonus Money, with a 100% contribution, the player would earn 20Tokens.

  • Total Round Count (Real Money Only): if a player makes 1 Round of €10 with Real Money, with a 100% contribution, the player will earn 1Token.

  • Total Round Count (Real Money & Bonus Money): if a player makes 1 Round of €10 with Real Money and €10 with Bonus Money, with a 100% contribution, the player will earn 1 Token.

Tokens Marketing Rules

Tokens Marketing Rules (also referred to as Token Rules) allow Operators to temporarily override the default token earning behavior for targeted promotions.

These Rules can be used to override token earning based on:

  • Specific content (Games, Providers, Categories; and sports dimensions where applicable)

  • Player eligibility (All Players, selected Ranks, or a CRM Segment)

  • A defined time period (start and end date)

Examples:

  • “Double Tokens on Slots this weekend”

  • “Boost Tokens for a new Provider launch”

  • “Extra Tokens for VIP Ranks only”

  • “Extra Tokens for a specific CRM Segment”

Token Rules Library

To access the Library, in the Gamification sub-menu, Operators will find the Token Rules (Sports or Casino) section. Here, Operators can perform the following actions:

  • Create Token Rules (to determine how player activity will contribute toward accumulating Tokens, and override the default Token contribution settings)

  • Add Bulk Tokens (to add Tokens to multiple players at once)

  • Search the list of rules created in the Tokens Library

  • Search the Bulk Tokens History

  • Access the Archive of previously deleted rules

Operators will be able to search rules by Rule Name, Rule Status (Active or Inactive), the Ranks the rule is for (Ranks must have been already predefined), Contribution Type (e.g., Game, Game Provider, or Game Category), and Tags (predefined by each Operator).

The Rules Library will display the existing rules with the following information:

  • Status: If it is Active or Inactive

  • Name: The name of the rule

  • Rank: This will display the Rank the rule was created for

  • Contribution Type: This will display the type of contribution

  • Contribution Percentage: This will display the percentage of the contribution

  • Option: This will provide three options: Edit, Duplicate, or Delete the existing rule

Create a Token Rule

Creating Token Rules allows Operators to override the default Token contribution and redefine how players will accumulate Tokens based on specific conditions related to Games, Game Providers, or Game Categories. The contribution for each element is defined using percentages.

Example:

If Slots (Game Category) are configured so that every 2 EUR Real Money bet has a 50% Token contribution, then: 2 EUR = 1 Token.

You can override the default Virtual Currency contribution by applying certain Rules that can be turned on / off at any time.

In order to create a new Token rule, click on the Create Token Rule button on the top right-hand side of the screen.

Inside, you will have to follow these steps to successfully create a new rule:

Step 1 - Details:

Enter the new rule Name, any Tags if applicable (Optional), and a description for this rule.

Step 2 - Ranks Selection:

Then, you will select the player Ranks that will be impacted by this rule. Ranks must have been previously configured in order for them to show up in the list.

Step 3 - Contribution:

Here you will be able to define how players will win Tokens based on the Contribution Type, which can be one of three possibilities:

1) Game (sets a specific contribution percentage for playing specific games)

2) Game Category(sets a specific contribution percentage for general game categories, such as Slots, Table Games, etc)

3) Game Provider(sets a specific contribution percentage that will cover all games by a selected gaming provider)

In order to set the contribution rule:

  • Select the Contribution Type

  • Enter the Game ID, Game Category ID or Game Provider ID in the field, then select Add

  • Set the Contribution percentage that will apply for player activity in the corresponding selection, which will be based on the default settings set under Settings. As an example, if a player wagers 100 CHF on a NetEnt game and the contribution percentage is 50%, this means that 50% of that wager will be granted as Tokens, as shown in the below screenshot:

(An option to delete your selection will appear if you hover your mouse over the selection line)

Step 4 - Status:

Choose whether the rule will be active or inactive and then hit Create.

Top priority: Rules based on Games

Secondary: Rules based on Game provider

Least priority: Rules based on Game category

This means that if there are two rules setting different contribution percentages at once, the one where the Game is specified will have priority over any other rule.

Add Bulk Tokens

The Token Rules section typically includes a Bulk Tokens option to grant or remove Tokens for many players at once using a file upload.

This is commonly used for:

  • Goodwill compensation after incidents

  • Manual reward drops for campaigns executed externally

  • Corrective adjustments (with clear audit notes)

To add bulk Tokens:

  1. Click Add Bulk Tokens.

  2. A pop-up window will prompt Operators to upload a .CSV file containing:

    • Player ID

    • Amount: Tokens to be credited or debited.

    • Transaction Type: Credit or Debit.

    • (New) Balance Type : Tokens

  3. After the file is uploaded, the system starts processing the batch.

  4. The system displays a message indicating that the Tokens adjustments are being applied.

  5. The progress and status of the batch can be reviewed under the Bulk Tokens History tab.

When uploaded, the system will display a message letting you know the transactions are getting updated and the status can be checked under the Bulk Tokens History tab.

Adjust single-player Token count - Player Card

Via Manual Reward

Operators can manually credit or debit Tokens for a specific player from the Player Card, usually under Manual Rewards.

To manually credit or debit Tokens:

  • Reward Type: Tokens

  • Action: Choose whether to Add or Remove tokens.

  • Amount: Enter the quantity to be added or deducted.

  • Comment: Add an internal note or justification for the action (optional).

  • Balance Summary: Displays the player’s Current Balance, Amount to be added or removed, and the Total Balance after the update.

This transaction will be shown in the Logs (showing comment, user who made the transaction, etc.), and will also display in the Tokens History.

In the History section, Operators can filter results by Date range, Type (Credit or Debit), and Method (Manual or Automatic).

The list displays the following details for each transaction:

  • Date of the transaction

  • Game, Provider, and Category that generated the Tokens (for automatic entries)

  • Type – Credit or Debit

  • Method – Automatic or Manual

  • Bet Amount (when applicable)

  • Description – Credit or Debit comment

  • Tokens granted or removed

  • Ending Tokens Balance after the transaction
