Token Rules

Virtual Currency (Tokens)

Part of the Gamification mechanics involves granting Operators with their own, in-site virtual currency, which every customer will carry on a virtual wallet provided by Gamanza and visible on the player widget.

As the Operator, you define how players earn this currency and how they can use it. Tokens are typically collected by performing actions such as playing games, completing Missions, or leveling up, and they are then spent to purchase digital or physical rewards in the Reward Shop. All earning and spending rules are configured in the back office, giving you full control over how Tokens support your engagement strategy.

Tokens Default Contributions

Token Default Contributions define the baseline rules for how players earn Tokens across the Gamification system.

Using the shared Default Rules engine (XP & Tokens Default Rules), Operators can configure Tokens to be granted when specific events happen, for example:

  • Casino bets

  • Sports bets

  • Deposits

  • Registration or KYC events

  • Mission completion

  • Level ups or Rank ups

For each event, Operators can define:

  • How Tokens are calculated

  • Single occurrence (e.g. “50 Tokens the first time a player completes KYC”).

  • Based on an amount (e.g. “1 Token per 10 EUR deposited”).

  • Which categories or properties influence the reward, such as:

  • Game Category or Sport

  • Payment Method

  • Transaction status (completed, approved, etc.)

These default rules act as the global baseline for Token earnings.

When no Token marketing rule is active, the system always falls back to these default contributions.

Key idea: Default contributions answer the question:

“If no promotion is running, how does this player normally earn Tokens on my site?”

Virtual Currency Settings

Under Settings > System Settings > Gamification you will find the Virtual Currency settings. Here you will see the default setting for how Tokens will be earned. You can define the contribution type to be based on one of these:

  • Total Bet Amount (Real Money Only): if a player wagers €10 with Real Money, with a 100% contribution, the player would earn 10 Tokens.

  • Total Bet Amount (Real Money & Bonus Money): if a player wagers €10 with Real Money and €10 with Bonus Money, with a 100% contribution, the player would earn 20Tokens.

  • Total Round Count (Real Money Only): if a player makes 1 Round of €10 with Real Money, with a 100% contribution, the player will earn 1Token.

  • Total Round Count (Real Money & Bonus Money): if a player makes 1 Round of €10 with Real Money and €10 with Bonus Money, with a 100% contribution, the player will earn 1 Token.

Tokens Rules

The Tokens Rules allow you to override the default settings for Token accumulation. This is useful for marketing purposes. In the Gamification sub-menu, you will find the Tokens Rules. Here, you can perform the following actions:

  • Create Token Rules (to determine how player's activity will contribute toward accumulating Tokens, in other words, how many Tokens they will win based on the contribution rules configured here. This overrides the default settings in place for Token accretion)

  • Add Bulk Tokens (to add Tokens to multiple players)

  • Search the list of rules created in the Tokens Library

  • Search the Bulk Tokens History

  • Access the Archive of previously deleted rules

You will be able to search rules by Rule Name, Rule Status (Active or Inactive), the Ranks the rule is for (Ranks must have been already predefined), Contribution Type (whether it's based on Game, Game Provider or Game category), and Tags (predefined by each Operator).

The Rules Library will display the existing rules with the following information:

  • Status: If it is Active or Inactive

  • Name: The name of the rule

  • Rank: This will display the Rank the rule was created for

  • Contribution Type: This will display the type of contribution

  • Contribution Percentage: This will display the percentage of the contribution

  • Option: This will provide three options, to Edit the rule, Duplicate or Delete button to Delete the existing Rule

Create Token Rule

Creating Token rules allow you to override the default Token contribution and redefine how players will accumulate Tokens based on the conditions configured here. How playing each Game, Game Provider or Game Category will contribute toward Token accretion will be based on percentages. For example, for every 2 EUR bet with Real Money on Slots (Game Category), the player wins 50% in Tokens, meaning, 2 EUR = 1 Token.

You can override the default Virtual Currency contribution by applying certain Rules that can be turned on / off at any time.

In order to create a new Token rule, click on the Create Token Rule button on the top right-hand side of the screen.

Inside, you will have to follow these steps to successfully create a new rule:

Step 1 - Details:

Enter the new rule Name, any Tags if applicable (Optional), and a description for this rule.

Step 2 - Ranks Selection:

Then, you will select the player Ranks that will be impacted by this rule. Ranks must have been previously configured in order for them to show up in the list.

Step 3 - Contribution:

Here you will be able to define how players will win Tokens based on the Contribution Type, which can be one of three possibilities:

1) Game (sets a specific contribution percentage for playing specific games)

2) Game Category(sets a specific contribution percentage for general game categories, such as Slots, Table Games, etc)

3) Game Provider(sets a specific contribution percentage that will cover all games by a selected gaming provider)

In order to set the contribution rule:

- Select the Contribution Type

- Enter the Game ID, Game Category ID or Game Provider ID in the field, then select Add

- Set the Contribution percentage that will apply for player activity in the corresponding selection, which will be based on the default settings set under Settings. As an example, if a player wagers 100 CHF on a NetEnt game and the contribution percentage is 50%, this means that 50% of that wager will be granted as Tokens, as shown in the below screenshot:

(An option to delete your selection will appear if you hover your mouse over the selection line)

Step 4 - Status:

Choose whether the rule will be active or inactive and then hit Create.

*Note: As a default, there will be a contribution hierarchy that automatically sets priorities to some rules over others in case there are multiple rules contradicting each other in place. The rule with the highest priority in the hierarchy is the most specific one, which will override any other rules in place.

Top priority: Rules based on Games

Secondary: Rules based on Game provider

Least priority: Rules based on Game category

This means that if there are two rules setting different contribution percentages at once, the one where the Game is specified will have priority over any other rule.

Add Bulk Tokens

The Add Bulk Tokens option is on the top right-hand side of the screen within the Tokens library. This will allow you to either Credit or Debit a specified amount of Tokens from a list of players at once.

A pop-up window will appear with the option to upload a .CSV file with the list of Player IDs, Amount to credit or debit, and the Transaction Type (Credit or Debit):

When uploaded, the system will display a message letting you know the transactions are getting updated and the status can be checked under the Bulk Tokens History tab.

Adjust single-player Token count

In order to manually Credit or Debit Tokens from a specific player account, head over to the player card. Inside, you will see the Tokens button with the current Token count. When hovering your mouse over the Tokens option, three dots will appear with the options to either Adjust Tokens (Add or Remove Tokens from the account) or to view the Tokens History of Token credits and debits in the account.

To manually credit or debit Tokens, select Adjust Tokens. A pop-up window will appear for you to enter the following information:

  • Action: Add/Remove

  • Amount (input field)

  • Comment

Once you click on Add/Remove, the system will add or remove the Tokens from the player’s balance and display a confirmation message if the transaction was successfully completed or an error message if for some reason the funds could not be added or removed.

This transaction will be shown in the Logs (showing comment, user who made the transaction, etc.), and will also display in the Tokens History.

In the History, you may filter results by Date range, Type (Credit or Debit) or Method (Manual or Automatic). The list will display the Date credited, Game, Provider, and Category which released the Tokens, the transaction Type (Credit or Debit), the Method (Automatic or manually credited), Bet Amount, Credit or Debit Description (comment), Tokens granted or removed, and Ending Tokens Balance.
