Personalization Engine
What is the Personalization Engine
The Personalization Engine shows what each player prefers to play, based on their bet amounts (turnover).
It answers questions like:
Which game categories does this player use the most?
Which providers are most popular for this player?
Which games are their top favorites?
All numbers are based on the bets placed by that player in the selected period.

Where to find it in the platform
Find your player in the back office using the player search.
Open the Player Card.
Click Personalization.
Casino personalization
Sports personalization
Use the tabs at the top of the screen to switch between them.
Here, operators can see the player’s activity and preferences by: Game Categories, Game Providers and Games.
How are the player preferences calculated in Casino?
The Personalization Engine works mainly with Turnover (total bet amount) and converts that into percentages per Category, Provider, or Game.
For example, if aplayer has wagered 10,000 in total and:
Slots = 60% of activity
Live Casino = 40% of activity
Then their profile would be:
6,000 were on Slots
4,000 were on Live Casino
In the Personalization Engine, the activity is grouped as follows:
Game Categories

Game Categories are grouped into high-level categories and, where applicable, subcategories, such as:
SoftSwiss, Pragmatic External,
Blackjack RNG, Roulette RNG, Baccarat RNG, Poker RNG, Others RNG
Blackjack Live, Roulette Live, Baccarat Live, Poker Live, Others Live (e.g., game shows).
Scratch Cards, etc.
Operators can see:
A global view for each main category, and
A breakdown per subcategory when drilling down.
Game Providers

Game Providers are also tracked individually (e.g., NetEnt, Greentube, Evolution, etc.).
This allows operators to see which providers drive most of the player’s turnover and which ones are under-used.
Favorite Games

Each game is tracked as its own line, such as:
Starburst
Gonzo’s Quest
Book of Ra
The maximum number of Games that will be shown is the top 20, per view. Games can be filtered as: All Games, Slots, Jackpots, Table Games, Live Casino, Others (like the main categories)
Sports Personalization Engine

Switch to the Sports tab in the Personalization Engine to see how the player behaves in sports betting.
The Sports Personalization Engine includes:
Sports chart
Tournaments chart
Teams table
Markets table All of them use the same turnover and percentage logic as the Casino view.
Date filters and Activity Date Range
Date filters in the Player Card
When viewing the Personalization Engine in the Player Card, operators can filter the data by period:
Lifetime
Today
Last 7 days
Last 30 days
Custom Date Range
This allows operators to answer questions like:
What has this player mainly played in the last 30 days?
Has their behavior changed compared to lifetime?
Activity Date Range in Segments*
When building a segment in the CRM, the Activity Date Range can be used as well, similarly to other filters.
For example: create a segment for anyone who has played in Live Casino more than 40% AND was in the last 60 days.
Using Personalization Engine data in Segments
When Creating a Segment, the operator can select, among multiple criteria, the following: Game Provider, Game Category, or Game; once any of these are selected, the Percentage or Turnover (Total Bet Amount) must be selected also.
Turnover: if selected, it means that it will be based on the total amount played by players
Percentage: if selected, it means it will be based on the Turnover Percentage wagered by the player.
This will provide the operator with the flexibility to create personalized Campaigns based off of these filters; they can find any players who meet these criteria and include them within the campaigns.
Example 1:

Intent: To target players who have played with a certain amount of activity in Greentube, perhaps to promote a new Greentube game.
Example 2:

Intent: To target players who have played at least 15% of their activity in Roulette games while excluding players who have little or no activity in this game category.
The Activity Date Range segmentation criteria is an add-on feature and may not be enabled in your environment. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.
